How To Treat Dropsy In Betta Fish:

  1. Change the aquarium water 25%
  2. Prepare the quarantine aquarium for an affected betta.
  3. Adding a heater and aquarium thermometer into the tank, you could use a heater with a built-in thermostat and keep the temperature around 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Reduce the aquarium water lower than normal. It will make the betta easier to reach the surface to take a breath.
